Beachwalk's 14-acre Crystal Lagoon Gets Ready to Open

The 14-acre Crystal Lagoon, the centerpiece of the new Beachwalk community in St. Johns County, is now full and ready to open.  Over the last six months, 37 million gallons of water were added to this man-made lagoon, the largest in the country.   

The massive water amenity, which is the size of three football fields, gives residents bragging rights. They, along with their guests, will be the only people allowed access. And since the community only has about 800 planned single-family residences, access is pretty exclusive.

The lagoon will be open at the end of August or early September for residents after safety checks and clean up are complete.
