“It was always our goal to curate an exciting and unique mix of retail tenants for Plantation Walk,” said Arthur Falcone, CEO and Managing Principal of Encore Capital Management. “We are introducing new brands to consumers and mixing those in with some long-standing favorites.”
Construction on the first phase of ground level retail is expected to be completed by mid-2020. The team recently received city approval on what will be Phase 2 of Plantation Walk which was updated to better serve the needs of area residents. The Phase 2 plans include: a 135-room Springhill Suites by Marriott hotel, a 168-unit luxury independent living facility and a new parking garage.
Once completed, Plantation Walk will create a downtown-style destination encompassing the ingredients of a true, walkable development that will create “Main Street Plantation.” Located on University Drive just north of Broward Boulevard, Plantation Walk is 10 miles from downtown Fort Lauderdale and 30 miles from downtown Miami. It features easy access to I-595, Florida’s Turnpike and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
